Recently, we had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Molly and Andrew at Segrave Barns, just outside Castle Bellingham. This venue, with its rustic charm and character, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Segrave Barns is not just a wedding venue; it’s an experience. With its old bars and charming rustic decor, it exudes warmth and character that makes every wedding feel intimate and special. The couple chose this venue for its unique atmosphere, and it certainly did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we were made feel welcome and on a personal note, I would put the food quality, taste and service right up in the top 5 venues we have covered.

Molly was the epitome of a relaxed bride, enjoying every moment of her special day. Just a short four-minute walk from the barns, there is a beach - as Andrew proposed on a beach - we planned to pop down for some photographs. Just as we got a handful of beach photographs, we felt spits of rain and as is often the case in Ireland, the weather had its own plans and the skies opened. But rather than dampening spirits, Molly was a champion. I know a lot of brides who would have been upset but we ran for 4 minutes in the rain. Love and laughter can shine through any circumstance.

I loved the many areas in Segrave Barns. The drinks reception area was in full swing, when the microphone came out and there were 15 minutes of relaxed speeches as everyone sat with their drinks and nibbles. It really took the formality out of the speeches.

The cake cutting was another fun-filled moment, with Andrew stirring up the crowd ensuring that all guests participated, bringing everyone together in celebration. The setting was simply perfect, surrounded by fairy gardens, lanterns, and trendy rustic decor that added to the charm of the day.
